I grew up in London in a family that was passionate about culture and fascinated by art and sculpture. I can clearly remember emerging into adulthood wanting to make and create things, but life, career and a lovely family of my own put all of that on hold. Until the Covid pandemic, when a friend of mine reintroduced me to painting and I started to create a series of impasto oil paintings using palette knives.
That lit a creative fire that continues to grow in intensity. As well as painting, I have always loved the organic nature and feel of wood and so in 2024, I went to spend a year studying creative techniques in wood and other materials at Robinson House Studio in East Sussex.
I now work in a small studio in central London where I am producing new paintings and sculptures.
